Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are thick liquids that when injected under the skin bind in a way to produce a lasting volume effect.  These fillers are often made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. Fillers are effective at reducing common facial lines and creases such as the nasolabial folds and ‘marionette lines’.  Additionally, they can supply volume in the face where it has been lost such as the cheekbones and the areas under the eyes, as well as plumping up lips. Fillers are slowly broken down in the body and can last from 6 months to a few years.  When injected carefully with good technique, fillers are very safe.
